In this 90-minute in-person seminar, Associate Professor Chris Deneen will explore how artificial intelligence is reshaping the landscape of assessment in higher education.

Drawing on his policy work with the Australian government and his extensive research on assessment change management, technology-enhanced feedback, and academic integrity, Chris will explore key, relevant challenges and opportunities.

The session will focus on (re)defining academic achievement in light of AI's growing influence, offering practical strategies to ensure assessments remain fair, valid, and aligned with sustainable learning goals.
